Unflavoured CBG Oil-Strength & Concentration

If you are new to using CBD or CBG oils, one of the most important factors you need to understand is which strength/concentration will work best for you. Or, if you have been using a product and would like to better understand the other options available to you, then this article will hopefully assist you.

Using 30ml Bottles

At Incr-edibles, we sell two different sizes of dropper bottles for
our CBD & CBG Oils. Here, we will look at our 30ml dropper
bottles. We will explain how the strengths/concentrations for
each product strength can be easily calculated per drop, along
with their associated costs.

With our products, as strength increases, the cost per drop of
CBD/CBG decreases, making the purchase of higher-strength
bottles a better option.

You can see from the table above that as the bottle strength increases, the cost of CBD per drop decreases considerably. This also means that with stronger options, fewer drops are needed to achieve the required dosage. We see this as a positive when swallowing oil-based products

Using 10ml Bottles

In recent years, higher-strength CBG oils in smaller 10ml bottles have become increasingly common, with some products containing 3000mg, 4000mg or even 5000mg of CBG per bottle. While a high concentration can be useful for customers who prefer to use fewer drops, it can also provide less flexibility when making smaller adjustments.

At Incr-edibles, we therefore offer a range of strengths and two bottle sizes, allowing customers to choose the concentration and format that best suits their preferences.

 At Incr-edibles CBD, we do supply 10ml bottles of CBD and CBG, but we keep the strengths at sensible levels so they are flexible for dosing, enjoyable, and prevent wastage by letting you take only what you need.
Again, the table below shows the reduction in cost per drop of CBG as the strength of product increases. Similar savings apply with our CBD products.

10ml Bottles – Benefits and Considerations

Some of the benefits of using 10ml bottles over the 30ml bottle options are that they are more discreet and easier to travel with. With CBD and CBG concentrations generally higher, smaller amounts of oil can be used to achieve the required dose. While we use a tasteless, clear MCT oil, we recognise that swallowing most CBD carrier oils is rarely a pleasant experience unless natural flavours are used.

Considerations When Choosing Very High-Strength CBG Oils

In recent years, many companies have moved to supply customers primarily with 10ml bottles containing very high strengths/concentrations, sometimes as high as 5000mg per 10ml bottle. While at first sight these may appear to be good offers, we do not recommend these products, and we will provide our reasons below.

The negatives associated with CBG in such high concentrations is that it can lead to what is known as throat burn. Throat burn associated with high-strength CBG oils refers to a burning, stinging, or peppery sensation felt in the throat shortly after taking highly-concentrated CBG oil.

Another negative we highlighted previously on our blog is that, with a 10ml bottle containing 5000mg of CBG, each drop of oil will contain approximately 25mg of CBG. This means there isn’t much flexibility in dosing. Your choices are very limited, such as

• 1 drop = approximately 25mg CBG
• 2 drops = approximately 50mg CBG
• 3 drops = approximately 75mg CBG

What this means in terms of cost is that if your required dosage was only 15mg of CBG, you would waste 10mg every time you took it. This would lead to you wasting 40% usage from your bottle of CBG. So, if the bottle had cost you £40, it would be akin to throwing £16 away with each purchase.
