CBD edibles have increasingly become sought after in the past couple of years and that pattern looks set to continue for the foreseeable future. Taking CBD has become commonplace within the past couple of years and people are in general more aware of it as a product and its background. As a result, CBD consumption has risen considerably in the past few years and it looks set to continue. CBD is one of the 2 main compounds found within the cannabis. The other main compound is THC. THC is known to be the compound that is responsible for inducing the “high” effects of edibles when people eat Cannabis gummy sweets and also when they smoke Cannabis with high levels of THC. CBD on the other hand is a hemp extract and has very little in the way of side effects and does not induce the psychotropic effects of the illegal products.  Cannabis edibles with high levels of THC are illegal in the U.K.

Hemp CBD as it is sometimes referred to is legal as long as any THC contained within it falls below a certain level which is currently a very low 0.2% and providing that there is no more than 1 gram of THC contained within any individual product. Most types of CBD products advertised online and in shops will be perfectly legal due to the low THC levels and will not fall foul of the law. So with this in mind, you should be safe when purchasing and taking CBD in the U.K. from most retail premises or bona fide websites. As another THC-free option, CBG does not carry any of the small risks associated with Full Spectrum CBD products when it comes to drug tests and possible false positives occurring. Early studies hint at its use in helping the digestive system and giving pain relief but this is not something we can confirm. Which CBD edibles should I begin with, what CBD dose should I begin with, and what will help me the most in relation to my requirements?  These are all excellent questions to ask, and our initial response would be to drop us a line, and we will discuss this with you. If you don't have the time or inclination to do this, our recommendation would be to start off with a lower dose, see how you get on, and if necessary, top up the amount of CBD until you hit the point where it starts to work for you. This is what we normally recommend to all our customers who are new to using our products.  

More and more, we are beginning to see companies and websites advocating that people start off with high CBD doses; this is something we do not agree with at all. The benefits of using CBD edibles, such as our CBD capsules, are that although they generally have a longer onset time, the effect of the CBD edibles will last much longer than oil-based tinctures, which tend to have a spike and then wear off quicker.
